Luke’s Wings Fashion Takes Flight

Last night at L2 Lounge in Cady’s Alley, Luke’s Wings took flight – with a charity fashion show to benefit the non-profit, which raises money to provide travel and accomodations to the families and loved ones of servicemen/women who are recovering at Walter Reed.

I was happy to participate as emcee as dozens of “looks” walked the red carpet for a packed house. A huge thank you to Aidah Collection for

dressing me and Queen Bee for the jewelry! Other designers and boutiques included Urban Chic, Mi Chiamo Eka, Evelyn Brooks Designs, Iky Clothing and Vintage Venom.

The most inspirational part of the evening was listening to the story of Sgt. John Moore – his family will be traveling to visit him TODAY thanks to funding by Luke’s Wings. He was honestly touched by their efforts on his behalf, and vowed to help this charity himself as soon as he is able.

In case you missed it – or procrastinated to buy tickets until they were SOLD OUT – you can help the cause by visiting www.lukeswings.org.
