Opera by Accident

Friday night’s Hallo-SCREEN party and fundraiser at the National Press Club had some shocking drop-ins. Scarlet O’Hara, Edward Libby… the Lucky Charms’ Leprechaun! And two other super special surprise guests stopped in for a serenade.

The Washington National Opera’s group of young professionals, Generation O, is on a mission to bring its music to the masses – and excite audiences with unanticipated performance.

It’s called Opera by Accident, and it certainly took those at Hallo-SCREEN by surprise. Gen-O’s hope is that a surprise performance at the party will encourage attendees to seek out opera inside the operahouse.
