Charity, in Chocolate

Dessert first??  Not when the city’s sweetest event is a few months away! Instead, supporters enjoyed smothered nachos, oysters and other savory Bobby Van’s favorites Thursday night as the Heart of America Foundation launched the rebranding of it’s annual chocolate event, Charity in Chocolate (formerly Sweet Charity) at the Grille.

Heart of America will get its just desserts on April 23rd at the National Building Museum when this annual night of rich treats and potentially even richer giving will feature sweet and savory tasting stations, an equally sweet silent auction and open bar… and that famous chocolate fashion runway showcasing costumes made out of sugar, chocolate and other edible confections.

Guests at the Kick-Off event were surprised by a $20 discount off a Charity in Chocolate G/A ticket when they “checked-in” to the Happy Hour via Facebook!
