Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dance: Jete Society Party 2012

Washington fell down the rabbit hole into a whirling dervish of dance Saturday night as the Washington Ballet‘s young professional organization, the Jete Society, held its annual premiere event, themed this year as the Mad Hatter Dance Party.

Co-Hosts Ashley Taylor and Winston Lord welcomed hundreds of DC friends for a five+ hour open bar, a strolling hat and card trick magician, some competitive movement on the Kinect “Just Dance 3,” a sneak peek at the Ballet’s costumes for the upcoming ALICE (in Wonderland) show, a sultry performance created and cast by Washington Ballet-member-turned-Choreographer Aaron Jackson (watch it below!), and above all… hours of dancing to the mix of NY DJ Pitch One.

After carnival snacks were served, Artistic Director Septime Webre was joined on the dancefloor by Marybeth Coleman, David Miller, Kate Marie Grinold, Tom Snedeker, Morgan Ortagus, Tyler Boyd
