Style Setting for Spring

Style insiders were summoned to lunch at Michel in Tyson’s Galleria Tuesday for a three course meal prepared by maestro chef Michel Richard.  (Parmesan Ravioli, Salmon, Steak, Chocolate Torte… Oh My!)

While dining and catching up, Kelly Collis, Leigh Macdonald, Angie Goff and other fashion setters got an extra treat: a  sneak peek at the upcoming trends (and a few twists) for Spring, available at Tyson’s luxury retailers like Louis Vuitton and Saks Fifth Avenue.

Luncheon hostess, media and style maven Aba Kwawu (at left), stressed the infusion of optimism and futuresque idealism in her “Couture Confidential” roll-out, passing around a look book with her key ingredients for a chic woman’s wardrobe come April, to include:

  • an “Atlantis” blue dress for evening
  • “neon bright” accessories for day
  • “pretty pale” blouses for lunch dates
  • “Great Gatsby” party attire
  • “sporty spice” tote bags
  • “high volume” puff sleeves on power suits
  • “graphic artistry” in general on dresses and skirts for day and evening

To complete the tutorial, beauties on the beat  were joined by Sasson Salon hair dressers and creatives from the Neiman Marcus cosmetic department to update their best hair and beauty looks for springtime.
